Adult fleas are only 5% of the problem. Cats pick up new fleas that come from larvae, pupae and eggs in their environment including carpets, furniture and bedding around the home.
BROADLINE kills not only the adult fleas on your cat but contains an insect growth regulator to kill eggs and larvae, breaking the flea life cycle at every stage. Full spectrum worm protection
- Roundworms - Roundworms are common, particularly in young cats, causing poor growth and diarrhoea. Eggs can survive for years in the environment. Roundworms are a zoonotic risk particularly for children.
- Hookworms - Hookworms can cause anaemia or digestive upsets in your cat. Infection occurs through ingestion of larvae or penetration of the skin. Hookworms are also a zoonotic parasite for humans.
- Tapeworms - Tapeworms are common in cats in New Zealand and are transmitted through the ingestion of infected fleas or rodents. Tapeworms are a potential zoonosis for children if they ingest infected fleas.
- Lungworms - Lungworms can cause mild coughing through to sever respiratory problems and even death. Cats become infected through eating prey such as birds, rodents and lizards. Cats that have access to the outdoors are at higher risk.
The right pack for your cat
BROADLINE is a topical solution containing fipronil, (S)-methoprene, eprinomectin and praziquantel available in two volumes: 0.3mL to treat cats from 0.8 – 2.5 kg and 0.9mL to treat cats from 2.5 kg – 7.5 kg.
Broadlline controls flea bite hypersensitivity by flea control and will kill newly acquired fleas within 8-24 hrs. It prevents flea eggs from hatching and can be used for the treatment and control of tick infestations, biting lice, roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms.
BROADLINE can be used on kittens from 8 weeks of age.
Applying BROADLINE
One of the distinct advantages of the new BROADLINE formulation is the unique topical applicator. It makes applying BROADLINE simple and effective and ensures completely accurate dosing.
To apply BROADLINE, pull back the plunger slightly, remove cap, place the tip of the applicator on the skin. Apply the contents directly on the skin in one spot on the midline of the neck between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades.
